It's time for me to bid farewell to blogdrive. It has served me well despite some hitches in posting and reading the posts. After receiving complaints from friends sometimes and what not, I finally decided to move back to my old place at blogspot. So, my ramblings now can be found at : Same name, same crap, same person. Different theme, different house. See you there!

Ours (Syera and I) was spent in the picture above (pardon the quality). Yes, we went for a swim. A lot of our neighbours participated as we can see one by one apartment turned dark. Looking up from the pool, we could see few heads popping out from windows chatting with loved ones, enjoying evening breeze and some just stood there by their windows staring into the night. A family of four and another young couple had their evening walk and enjoyed each other's company. It's not a 100% participation as we could see some of the apartments had their lights switched on, but hey, Malaysians ranked number 7 in the world as more than 250,000 people registered to participate and support Earth Hour. Our neighbouring flat took the extra mile by switching off all coridor lights. I wonder how much energy was spared tonight.
So, how was your 60 minutes?

This Saturday 28 March at 8.30pm you can vote Earth by switching off your lights for one hour - Earth Hour
Liza and Wan really put in time and effort in writing and promoting this event among friends and fellow bloggers and I am pretty sure there are a lot of other bloggers out there doing the same. Earth Hour received a very well deserved entry in their respective blogs.
It might not bring a very big impact to our global warming crisis by switching off your lights for one hour tomorrow night, but it sure does voice out how many billion people really cares about this crisis. And it might put some pressure on world leaders to act on this urgently and seriously. Let's hope and pray.
I am imagining how would Earth look like from up above if the whole world participate as different time zone switches on their light and the neighbouring time zone swithces their lights off. You got what I mean? ;)

Syera, candlelight dinner perhaps?

Thanks to Kak Kui, these past few days Hetty Koes Endang's very infamous song - Kasih, has been stuck and rewinding over and over again in my head like a broken record. You know, the time when you can't simply get that song out of your head for no apparent reason and you keep on humming along and singing non-stop. Sometimes, it's just a jingle out of a radio advertisement, sometimes, it's a song from yesteryears, sometimes, it just bugs you after reading lyrics from somebody's blog. So, to cure this, I have been searching for that song here and there. Three days later after failed downloading, incomplete song and what not, I finally got it. Thank you Kak Ila! It's a great song, really lovey dovey, suits those of you out there who's really in love. You know who you are. ;)
So, this evening, Wan and I were talking about Anoop Desai, one of the American Idol Season 8 finalist. I did watch his audition and it really really took my breath away. Seriously. I suppose those who watched it have the same thinking and feeling. In fact, right after he sang for his audition all the four judges were silent for a few seconds and then only we can hear Paula said "I didn't expect that". Ok, ok. I'm not promoting or crediting him here. Right now, Always on my mind sang by him is in my head, rewinding over and over again. His rendition of that song is definitely not the same as Elvis Presley's but, it's just as soulful. So, at the moment his voice and this song especially fits my mood and my heart perfectly. Just like a completed jigsaw puzzle. Always on my mind is always on my mind. :)
Maybe I didn't love you Quite as often as I could have Maybe I didn't treat you Quite as good as I should have If I made you feel second best Girl, I'm sorry I was blind
You're always on my mind You're always on my mind
Maybe I didn't hold you All those lonely lonely time And I guess I never told you I'm so happy that you're mine Little things I should've said and done I just never took the time
You're always on my mind You're always on my mind
Tell me, tell me that your sweet love hasn't die Give me, give me one more chance To keep you satisfied, I'll keep you satisfied
You're always, always on my mind The little things I should've said and done I just never took the time
You're always on my mind You're always on my mind
Tell me, tell me that your sweet love hasn't die Give me, give me one more chance To keep you satisfied, I'll keep you satisfied
